This rare ,one of a kind, Equestrian designer bracelet dates to the Artr Nouveau era 1890's and is signed HUSER 935. I have been unable to find another example by this designer but the 935 hallmark was only used in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The name Huser was also an important surname in Leicestershire, England and this family was originally from Normandy France. Husers also came to America. This bracelet is made of 935 silver which has a higher silver content than sterling 925 silver and in addition to this the entire surface is gilded which was a sign of good quality. The front of the bracelet has two large circles with pierced equestrian designs which show 2 horses and riders in an equestrian competition. This very clever design can be viewed from both the front and back. There are three large faceted gemstones situated between the two circles: two amethyst and one topaz. Above the gemstones are swirling Art Nouveau pierced leaf designs. These designs also occur on each side of the circles. The bracelet has a safety catch. There is great attention to detail shown in this bracelet. It has good weight and is not flimsy at all. A wonderful, rare Equestrian bracelet! It came from a local fine E1895.9state collection. Size: 3 " x 2 1/4" x 1 1/2" ( 7 cm x 6.4 cm x 3.8 cm) Diameter of each circle: 1 1/4" Height of each circle: 1 5/8" Height of Jeweled section and leaves: 1 1/2" Front measurement from side to side: 3 " Weight: 46.5 grams
