This is an unusual hairpin with a gold sphere for the head of the pin. The top and the bottom are textured with a four sided inverted pyramid shape indented in to the ball. The middle section has triangular indentations and semi circular stamping. The ball feels heavy for its size making me wonder if it is solid as opposed to hollow. The ball shaped head is just over 1/2" in diameter. The needle portion has a very slight bend to it and some tarnish. The overall length is 6". There are two indentations to this piece as shown in the last two pictures.
