This is a gorgeous antique sterling souvenir fruit spoon by Durgin. Retailed by Greenleaf & Crosby Co. (jewelers) of Palm Beach, Florida, this spoon is in excellent condition. The spoon is about St. Augustine Florida, discovered by Ponce de Leon and Founded in September 1565 by Don Pedro Menendez de Aviles of Spain, St. Augustine is the longest continually inhabited European-founded city in the United States – more commonly called the "Nation’s Oldest City." The back of the handle depicts a sailing vessel while the front has a quadfoil depicting various scenes. This is a high quality spoon as only Durgin does. This piece weighs 29.2 grams and is 6" in length. This is a great collectors piece and in excellent condition.
