This sterling souvenir spoon is in excellent condition. Made by SSMC (Sterling Silver Mfg. Co), this spoon has a beautiful bright cut engraving of Mackinac Island in the bowl. The very interesting part is the handle with an Indian Chief in full headdress at the top with multiple Indian and floral themes on the front and back. There is a "swastika" emblem on the handle, not to be confused with the German swastika but the American Indians used this (and other cultures back 3,000 years ago) prior to that to represent the sun, power, strength or good luck. The spoon is 5 1/8" in length and weighs 13.3 grams.
