This sterling gilt rouge pot is in very good condition with normal wear. This piece has a gold wash that has some wear but is mostly intact and has a beautiful script monogram on top of CVP. the inside lid has a used mirror that is loose but completely functional. There is one small chip to the edge where the undercoating is missing as shown. This comes with a used puff as shown. Although, originally a rouge pot, this nowadays is used as a very nice pill box. Stamped with the Birmingham hallmark (partly obscured), the 1909-10 date mark and what appears to be WHH silversmith mark for William Hair Haseler. The pot is about 1 5/8" in diameter and 15/16" tall. There is a nice jump ring on the one side where a chain was once attached to carry around the neck. Weight with mirror is 22.7 grams.
