This sterling match safe by silversmiths Schmitz, Moore & Co. c. 1915 of Newark, NJ is in good condition. There is one dent to the back lower right as shown on the edge. The spring works great, snapping close as expected. The plain side has a thumb depression. It looks like there may have been a seam repair done to the lid at front. Otherwise, normal wear and patina. This has a gorgeous acanthus design on the front with a cartouche engraved possible GCM in fancy script. The back is plain. Stamped on the bezel is SCoM for Schmitz, Moore & Co. and sterling.This piece measures 2 1/2" by 1 1/2".
