This c. 1890 change purse is in excellent condition. The crochet work is perfect with no snags or holes. The steel bead work is in the shape of a star. The silver plate lid has multiple Greek like coins layered together with the one centered bust with olive leaves. The banner below is not monogrammed. The clasp works perfect. Used to hold change and other small items. This was also called a Tam O'Shanter after the Scottish bonnet often worn by men. This lid measures 2 1/8" in diameter and the overall diameter is 2 7/8".
