This match safe by silversmiths James E Blake Co. of Attleboro, MA is in excellent condition with a few minute dings to the back as shown. The one side depicts a woman with flowing hair and flowers and the back is an open cartouche. The lid snaps really nice and tight. The match safe is marked SterlinE (yes, with a capitol E on the end) which is a term Blake used for German Silver which has no silver content at all, mainly nickel. This gave the consumer a less expensive option to own craftsmanship than paying for real silver. This piece measures 2 1/2" by 1 3/4".
