This napkin ring by London silversmiths Walter and John Barnard made in 1888-1889 is in excellent condition. The grooved siding makes this an unusual piece. It is monogrammed with three stylized letters but it its difficult to determine what they are. I came up with several possibilities, easy to read difficult to decipher. The back is hallmarked with the mark wBj for Walter and John Barnard and the English hallmarks for 1888-1889 and the duty mark. This ring is 1 5/8" in diameter, 1 1/4" tall and weighs 30.7 grams.
