Estate jewelry: Atlas sterling silver 23-inch long chain with a Native American double-sided coral and turquoise cross.
Beautiful workmanship is demonstrated here in the well known and collectible Atlas sterling silver 23-inch long curb link chain and reversible sterling silver cross set with turquoise and coral stones.
The cross has one side set with 2 1/2 mm snake eye stones in red coral while the other side is set with 2 1/2 mm turquoise snake eye stones. The cross is hand made and the stones are dome top cabochon gems saw tooth bezel set. There are 10 stones on each side of the cross. The cross measures 1 1/2 inches by 3/4 inches. It is a Native American handcrafted item without hallmarks but tests positive for sterling silver. The cross dates from the middle of the 20th century or earlier.
The Atlas sterling silver curb chain is hallmarked "sterling" for its precious metal content, and ATLAS for the maker's mark. Atlas sterling chains are well known and collectible items for their fine quality. They have been sold in fine jewelry stores throughout the 20 and 21 century. The 23-inch long chain offered here is from the middle of the 20th century.
