Rare hand-painted porcelain teacup and saucer with matching dessert plate from the SEITO STUDIO in Japan. This hard to find Art Deco pattern dates from the 1920s. It is in very good condition without chips or other signs of wear. The dessert plate measures 7 1/2 inches in diameter. The plate and the teacup have an Art Deco design bouquet of colorful roses in a circular motif hand-painted in their center. There is a light blue band painted around the edge of the cream-colored porcelain pieces with gold trim. The inside of the teacup has an opalescent finish.
This is a beautiful high tea place setting that does not become available on the market often. The three pieces are in very good condition and would make a wonderful addition to a porcelain collection.
