Presented here is a pair of contemporary artisan earrings made with vintage Venetian red glass pendants in the Art Nouveau Style.
The twisted red glass pendants have a splash of "Arora Borealis" that reflects the light in golden rainbow colors. This splash of reflective material was popular in the 1920s and 1930s. Each pendant is hand made so there is a slight variation in their length and width. The pendants were hand-made in Venice Italy prior to WWII. They measure about 2 1/2 inches in length and are (NOS)new old stock and have not been previously sold to the public or made into jewelry. They are in like-new condition. A bronze Art Nouveau style bail has been added to the pendants to facilitate using them for jewelry.
The pendants are connected to a gold plate earring wire with a contemporary bronze stamping made from a 100-year-old Art Nouveau mold. Together the bronze stampings and the pendants have a 3 1/2 inch dangle from the ear wires.
These contemporary "one of a kind" earrings in the Art Nouveau style will be sent to you in a gift box for giving or keeping.
