At the center of the piece is a large Nevada green Turquoise cabochon, set in sterling silver and polished to a smooth finish. The Turquoise cabochon measures 2 inches in length and 1 1/4 inch in width. It is an irregular oval shape. There is a large sterling silver square tab clasp to secure the necklace when worn.

The Nevada Turquoise focal is "seafoam" blues and greens with a few traces of sand-colored matrix. The cabochon is a gem from the Broken Arrow mine in Esmerelda county in the state of Nevada, USA. The "seafoam" colors are a perfect complement to the Aqua Green color of the 8 mm round Amazonite beads from Peru that make up the 3 strands of the collar. The necklace fits a 15-inch neck and weighs 5 oz.
