Fine silver Sealyham Terrier dog creates an adorable bar brooch. The Sealyham Terrier was bred by Captain John Edwards in Wales in the mid to late 19th century. The little dog was initially bred to capture rodents and hunt small animals. With his alert, outgoing temperament he is a joy as a pet. Add to these characteristics a sense of humor and one has the perfect pet dog. Being only 20-25#, he'll fit into any home style. The little image of a Sealyham Terrier on this brooch is done in lovely three dimensions. This terrier sports a white coat (in real life) with a blocky stature as depicted here. The terrier is mounted on a simple polished silver bar. 1 3/4" long, 1/2" wide and 1/4" deep. C clasp closure. Marked on back Silver. Mint condition.
