This lovely antique amber colored decanter is from Val Saint Lambert, Belgium, in the wonderful pattern called Marx. The decanter is hand-blow and hand-cut "to clear" from amber cased glass over clear glass.

Val Saint Lambert is a storied glass works founded in 1826 on the site of an old abbey near Liege, Belgium. The company is renowned for both its superb quality and its art deco and art nouveau designs. Val Saint Lambert's golden age was defined as from 1879 to 1914, a period when Europe was enjoying a respite from warfare.
