12 Minton for Tiffany Red Gilded Plates
This set of Minton, Stoke-on-Trent, England, service or dinner plates feature six 22-karat gold-beaded panels, three ivory and three red, each decorated with ornate and elaborate ornaments comprised of scrolling foliate and flowers. The plate well is ivory.
Minton was well know to have some of the best if not the best gold gilders, plates of this complexity were gilded by master gilders, who left their initial on the back.
Pattern H4173 one of Minton's famous "G" and "H" patterns of heavily gilded raised paste 22-karat gold porcelain plates. Gilder mark on back "K", gilded foot rim.
