Bottom Marked, "Hawkes Sterling." Made in Corning, New York by the T.G. Hawkes company, one of the most famous and successful America Brilliant Period (abp) glass cutters. Hawkes' glassware was used in the White House from 1885 until 1938. Glass blanks likely sourced from Steuben or Dorflinger. See the Corning Museum of Glass, online collection, for similar examples.
