Soup plates in a Sevres-style gothic-style pattern, similar to the Sevres "Hunting Service" of Chateau de Fountainbleu pattern of Louis Phillippe (Le Service de Chasse de Fontainebleu). These soup plates have fantastic detail: Angels holding a swags over cartouches with inset ram's head, bull, urn, basket and a dolphin. In the multi-color foliage there are animals intertwined in motion: a rabbit, songbirds, geese, a stag, and a boar. Hand painted in several colors: pink (Rose Pompadour), red (Pompeian Red), blue (Bleu Du Roi), purple, red, gray, gold on white. Exquisitely painted: even the angels have different expressions of their faces.
Similar examples of these bowls can be found in the online collection of the MET Museum, New York and the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.
