This is a darling dress most likely made in the early 1900s for a bisque bebe or something similar in size. I can even see this on a wonderful cloth doll or teddy bear. The fabric is so charming and there are so many details that out long ago seamstress added. There is that eye catching piece attached to the back of the dress, piping around the shoulders in the same fabric as the dress and black piping at the neck, wrists and bottom of the dress. Of course there is the attached belt and completely lined interior including the sleeves. It closes with a hook and eye at the neck in the front and is belted. It measures 10 inches long from neck to hem. From shoulder to shoulder it is 6 inches across. Sleeves are 6 inches long and a very roomy 3 inches wide. All measurements are taken with the garment lying flat. There are a few small rust spots and a few small areas where the fabric is a bit frayed. All in all, this is a wonderful dress. Please feel free to request more photos or to ask questions and do take a look at my other doll items. Thank you for shopping Red Dog Dolls.
