This is a beautiful 15 inch antique china head doll with brown glass eyes. As if that is not rare enough, she is a three part mold, unlike the usual 2 part mold. Her jacket is an early piece probably dating to the 1870s. It is lined on top and has many wonderful embellishments including tiny black glass buttons, a large bow on the back which has a nice buckle of sorts to further decorate the jacket. Someone added snaps later to the front, but these are definitely not original to the jacket. The skirt is not as old as the jacket and I would date it to the early 1900s. There are an assortment of tiny holes scattered throughout. Her bonnet is the perfect accessory and dates to the 1860s-70s. You can see the mold line down her back in one of my photos which is indicative of a 3 piece mold. She has the rarer brown glass eyes and her body is antique but not original to her. She is missing one hand and the other is taped. I am including a spare set of vintage arms just in case the new owner prefers those to the old originals. I have also added a pair of vintage slippers on her feet even though they are a bit small. She just looks fabulous and is show time ready. Of course I offer lay-a-way on her as I do on any Red Dog item. Please contact me about terms if you are interested. Please feel free to request more photos or ask questions. Do take a look at my other early doll items. Thank you for shopping Red Dog Dolls.
