This is just a beautifully made gown from the 1860s-70s. Truly this was made by a talented seamstress. It is both treadle and machine stitched with princess seaming down the front. The button holes may be some of the most nicely done I have ever come across. There are a few small holes in the front and back along with some brown spots. Notice the beautiful pleating down the back and along the cuffs and the piping along the shoulder seams. This dress measures almost 14 inches from neck to hem and is about 5 1/2 inches across the shoulders. Another nice detail to this dress is the width of the sleeves. Lying flat, the width is a bit over 2 inches wide at the shoulder. Length is 6 1/2 inches. This is a beautiful period dress that will look stunning on your doll.
