I don't know; maybe I have just not been at the right place at the right time, but I have not come across another single nipple doll truly made for play. I have always seen the mammy nipple dolls that were made as some kind of racist souvenir but never the dolls that were truly played with, until this one. At some point in time, a little girl or boy truly treasured this humble doll. I think she is early 1900s. I love those sweet features painted on this ancient dried out nipple. She measures a bit under 5 inches from the tip of her nipple head to the hem of her skirt. Judging by the stitch work, she was made by a child. Please feel free to ask questions or request more photos and take a minute to check out my other items. Thanks for the look.
