A charming example of an antique English inkwell, the base is made from a solid piece of solid Oak carved in the form of a Horseshoe. The horseshoe mount is made from silverplate, signed by the English silversmith, Daniel & Arter. The square glass inkwell is capped with a jockey riding helmet. This item dates from the first quarter if the 20th century. Measures 6" w" 6" d x 4" h. There is a very minor dent on the jockey cap otherwise in very good condition with age appropriate wear.
