A spectacular, 15.0ct, ice-blue aquamarine, accented by sparkling diamonds, is the centerpiece of this unique mid-century brooch that combines elements of Art Deco and Retro jewelry. In its double circle design, the brooch has echoes of Art Deco, and in its display of a large center stone, it is classic Retro. Put both together, and this substantial, 14kt gold brooch, almost the width of an average hand, is a spectacular and unique piece of jewelry that will grace any collection.
Total weight of this glamorous Retro brooch is 15.3 grams (nearly half an ounce of gold). The overall length is 2-1/4" and the height is 1". The center stone is an ice-blue, aquamarine of excellent cut and clarity, measuring 18 x 15mm, and weighing approximately 15.0ct. The aquamarine is bordered on two sides by a total of 12 round brilliant cut diamonds in a white gold, millegrain setting. Total diamond weight is approximately 0.12ct. (Measurements are estimated, as permitted by mounting). The 14kt gold pinstem is marked "585" (signifying 14kt gold), along with an indistinct maker's mark beginning with the letters "AH". Acid-testing confirms the setting as 14kt gold. The fastener is pinstem type with a "trombone" style catch. The brooch is in excellent vintage condition.
This dramatic mid-century brooch will arrive in a fine quality presentation box.
