A gorgeous Edwardian bar pin featuring 0.80ct total weight in diamonds and a lustrous, 7mm cultured mabe (hemispherical) pearl with pink and green iridescence (orient). The brooch is 14kt yellow gold topped with platinum (diamond weight estimated as permitted by mounting). The pearl is framed with a halo of pave-set, single cut diamonds, which are flanked in turn by two old mine cut diamonds, each of approximately 0.22ct in weight. More pave-set diamonds surround the old mine cut stones. In sum, it is a classic bar brooch from the age of elegance at the turn of the 20th century. An exquisite example of the fine jeweler's art.
This magnificent bar pin weighs a total of 5.4 grams. It measures 2-7/8" long by 1/2" wide in the center. It is unmarked, but is acid-tested as 14kt yellow gold and platinum. The pin fastening is a "C" clasp with a safety catch. The cultured mabe pearl measures approximately 7mm across. It has a white body color, rose overtone, beautiful luster, and pink/green iridescence, also known as "orient." The pin is in excellent vintage condition.
This exquisite bar pin will arrive in a fine quality presentation box.
