An exquisite, beautifully-made Tiffany & Co. 1960s vintage pin, featuring a five-petal, floral motif, set with 7 sapphires and hand-applied enamel, crafted in 18kt gold. The details of this unique pin are meticulous in every way, as you would expect from Tiffany. The 7 central sapphires are the highly desirable cornflower blue, and they sparkle from every facet. Hand-applied enamel begins at the outer edges of the flower in an almost iridescent aquamarine color, graduating softly through a sunny yellow band of enamel, to a white enamel center behind the sapphires. Absolutely gorgeous, and a very special piece of 1960s Tiffany jewelry.
Total weight of this Tiffany pin is 5.5 grams. It is set with 7 cornflower blue sapphires, totaling an estimated 0.63ct. (Weights estimated by formula due to mounting). The back of the brooch is stamped "Tiffany & Co.", "Italy", and "18kt". A date is also hand-engraved on the back, "14-4-64" (indicating April 14, 1964 in European date notation). It measures approximately 3/4" x 3/4". The pin-stem, which is 14kt rather than 18kt, for strength and durability, closes with a safety catch. This fabulous brooch is in excellent vintage condition, with no defects. It will arrive in a blue Tiffany pouch and Tiffany box.
