EAPG Jacob's Ladder aka Maltese Covered Compote ~ Bryce Brothers. Patented June 13,1876.
Tallest of the Covered Compotes in this pattern and it is impressive !
13 7/8" height by 9 1/2" diameter including lid. Base height 9".
Lid- mold seam roughness around lid rim. The knob has some chips to some of the corners of the Maltese cross and there are some at the top of the cross but in the middle area (Pic 5,6). It still looks pretty good straight on view.
Base - there is a shallow chip to the underside of one of the scallops. Pic 7 is the front view and pic 8 is the underside view with the bowl facing down. The foot rim has some surface scratches and some shallow stress crack lines ( pic 9).
Air bubbles, grime spots, straw marks & mold seam roughness is common on glassware from this era.
