Offered for consideration is a primitive oak? or ash? splint basket from the very late 1800s to early 1900s in a "bucket" form with bentwood swinging handle. It is in good, solid structural condition without damage or excessive splint weave wear and is still "tight" and the solid oak wood curved handle has free range of movement from side-to-side. The basket is approximately 10-1/4" in height with a top diameter of 12-1/4" x 12" that tapers to the 9" base diameter for a really nice form. A very nice early basket.
