Offered for consideration is an old store display for "LHS" smoking pipes. The "LHS" logo was used for the Ludwig & Hugo Stern company that was in business from the mid 1800s to the 1960s. They were the main pipe supplier for World War troops in addition to their regular sales. The display offered several brands/priced pipes to include the Everclean, an Italian Briar, the Casino, the Marwyn and the Purex with the self-cleaning system. For each of the models three pipe size/styles were displayed as well as a stem. The free-standing wooden case has a pedestal base and glass door and is 19-1/4" in height with a 15-5/8" frontal base width. There are no damages to either the glass or the wood, but there are light wood roughness/finish wear markings around the edges from daily use wear and the inner felt lining is dirty. A really neat piece for any pipe smoker or tobacciana collector.
