Hand painted antique Nippon humidor with rare scenic hand painted buffalo, trees and heavy moriage beading.
Rare Nippon scene of an American buffalo foraging in a grassy field with tall pine trees in the background.
This rare Nippon porcelain humidor displays one of the nicest examples of raised moriage bead work that I have ever seen.
This is the only Nippon piece that I have ever seen with a buffalo on it besides the Nippon plaques, which are obviously more common than this humidor.
Antique Nippon humidor is in excellent condition. Positively free of chips, cracks, hairlines and flea bites. The only area of wear to note is at the corner high point on one of the handles.
The reverse side of the lid has a hole to hold a sponge.
This is quite a rare form of Nippon and guaranteed to be on of the older examples of Nippon.
Humidor is 7" tall and is 7" hand to handle with a 16" circumference around the middle.
