Tiny vintage leather stiletto heels made in Paris by designer Charles Jourdan mid to late 50's era are any shoe collectors dream come true!
The bows on the vamps have been created by hand and have been sewn on. When one lifts the bow, four tiny threads can be seen which cannot be felt from inside the shoe itself. Incredible workmanship and quality, as expected from vintage shoe designer Charles Jourdan.
These vintage stiletto heels will definitely appeal to the serious shoe collector. Although there is some argument over whether or not Vivier or Jourdan created the very first stiletto, this pair of designer vintage shoes exhibits the fine attention to detail that went into high end shoes back in the day when designers were scrambling to be on top. Charles Jourdan is synonymous with high end fashion and these shoes are the perfect example of his talents. Simple. Sexy. Well made.
The leather itself is butter soft, exterior leather soles show less than expected surface wear, the heel caps look as if they have rarely been used, if at all and the interiors do not show any evidence of wear.
These vintage leather heels are tiny, the size 4 1/2 B has been hand written in beautiful numeric script along with the model number 3448A
To identify his name as an haute couture house during the 1930's, Charles Jourdan was the first shoe designer to ever place advertisements in high end fashion magazines. Lady Diana Spencer, The Princess of Wales, was a regular customer of Charles Jourdan.
