Antique Victorian Boots High Top Leather Lace Up
Antique, Victorian two tone, high top, leather lace up boots in remarkable condition. Circa 1900
Constructed using a dark, reddish brown leather on the uppers with the lowers being shiny, black leather.
The detailing in incredible with the stitchery being tiny, precise and perfectly executed.
The laces are the original, having metal tips.
These antique Victorian boots would have been custom tailored for a very grand lady, two-tone leather was more expensive in the Victorian days and these boots would have been a costly fashion item.
Interior bears the "Wise Shaw & Feder Co. Cincinnati The Shoe That is Tailored" label. Also bears, in gold lettering, "The House of Greater Watson Greater Columbia."
The exterior bottoms are leather.
Wooden stacked spool heels.
Interior lining is cotton twill.
Please note one flake on the exterior of each boot where they either rubbed or rested together.
I have had these boots stuffed to maintain their shape for many years on display.
