Raise your sights here folks! Here's a beautiful Victorian era Northwood Ruby Opalescent Glass Daisy & Fern pattern done in their Apple Blossom mold! The Northwood Northwood Ruby / cranberry glass Opalescent Glass caster insert is in a beautiful Victorian silver plated holder with original claw feet tongs. This exact picket caster insert is shown on page 82 in William Heacock's book "Harry Northwood The Early Years 1881-1900.
The beautiful silver plated holder features a shell and scroll design, and a pair of silver plated claw feet tongs. The base of the holder is marked "BARBOUR SILVER CO. SILVER QUADRUPLE 2311".
There's a note inside that I'll include that reads "Nils & Bert Dabe - 1906 or 1907, going away present from So. Dakota friends."
