This is a pretty antique 15ct gold green stone and split seed-pearl gemstone ring. The head of the ring is of size 18.0mm x 6.5mm, 'marquise shaped', slender and encrusted with a central band of graduated green stones ranging in size from 0.75mm to 2.0mm. These are bordered by small split seed pearl gemstones each of size 1.0mm. There is a (.625) stamp mark on the inside circumference of the shank which equates to 15ct gold fineness. Size 'N'(UK), 7.0(US). Weighs 1.5 grams. The ring is in very nice condition -- an unusual ring, most likely from the mid-Victorian era.
*15ct gold was introduced in 1854 and discontinued in 1932.
