This is a decorative antique 18ct solid gold diamond solitaire gemstone ring. The diamond gemstone is claw-set into the ring, 'old-cut' type and of 0.2ct weight. It is clean, good quality and exposed to the reverse side of the ring to allow the light to shine through. There are ornate 'perforations' around the perimeter of the head of the ring and 'deep grooved channeling' to the upper regions of the shank, features which add attraction to the ring. There is a Birmingham 18ct gold assay hallmark on the inside circumference of the shank, but the letter date is worn due to the age of the ring. Size 'R'(UK), 9.0(US). Weighs heavy at 4.7 grams. The ring is in very nice condition throughout with a genuine diamond gemstone, no repairs and some authentication -- a lovely item of fine antique jewellery and most likely dated around the turn of the 20th Century.
