This is an attractive antique 18ct solid gold 5-stone diamond and ruby gemstone ring in which the gemstones are claw-set in an alternating configuration. The 3 ruby gemstones are of excellent quality, rectangular in shape with respective sizes 2.0mm x 1.5mm -- 3.0mm x 2.0mm -- 2.0mm x 1.5mm. The 2 diamond gemstones are 'old-cut' type and each of 0.06ct weight (0.12ct total diamond weight). All of the gemstones are exposed to the reverse side of the head of the ring. There are decorative 'perforations' to the sides of the head of the ring and 'punch markings' to the upper regions of the shank, features which enhance the character of the ring. The ring exhibits a Birmingham 18ct gold assay hallmark on the inside circumference of its shank but the letter date is worn due to its age. Size 'L-M'(UK), 6.25(US). Weighs 3.6 grams. The ring is in very nice condition with genuine gemstones and is most likely dated around the turn of the 20th Century.
