Texas Hill Country Treasures is delighted to offer this large and charming antique German Parian Bisque Character Girl Piano Baby figurine ~ Discovered at a fine Hill Country Estate, this kleines madchen appears to be a toddler or young child with molded hair and an open/closed mouth, molded ears, and eye lids/brows . Her delicate fingers and toes are all intact. This is such a detailed and charming piece. The detail of the sculpting is sharp and defined, as well as beautifully rendered. She has chubby little legs, her toes are flexed, and her knees are bent. She has curly-q hair in what appears to be an oily porcelain glaze at the top of her head, with curls in the middle of her forehead and is wearing a sweet romper shift that ruffles along the neckline and ties in a bow at the shoulder. This little one is leaning on a molded woven basket with flowers near her feet, perhaps watching her mother gather fruit or flowers. The generous sized woven basket forms a vase for your own flowers, or trinkets.
She measures approximately: 8" High x 7" Long x 3.5" Wide; a striking and generous sized piece.
Excellent condition with no chips, no repairs or restorations. She has mold line separations on each arm where the sleeve meets the arm; this was from the time of firing as well as one small line under her right eye from the time of firing. She is delightful to pose with your other piano babies or parian dolls, as well as being perfect to use as an accent piece in decorating.
