Roger Skeet Jr. Signed & Hallmarked Navajo Sterling Silver Bracelet with Morenci Turquoise from New Mexico ~ Stunning! Important example of a Vintage Sterling Silver Bracelet by Navajo Artisan Roger Skeet Jr. of New Mexico. This piece is hallmarked RS with the rare addition of being signed RS N.M. by the world renowned Navajo silversmith Roger Skeet Jr.. The artist was born in New Mexico in 1933, & began his lifetime of creating exquisite silver pieces when he was a small child. His father was famed silversmith, Roger Skeet Sr. who specialized in Concho/Concha belts. Senior taught his namesake the craft of silversmithing, & the importance of selecting only the highest quality materials for their pieces. This example is an offering of high quality Morenci Turquoise from Southeastern Arizona with the highly sought after deep blue, spider-webbing, iron-pyrite that shines silver, & even some rare specks of quartz in the Turquoise. Quartz in Turquoise is very rare, & although it is only a few tiny specks, it adds to the beauty of the piece. The Morenci mine has been inactive for many years, & it's Turquoise is some of the most sought after in the world. Roger Skeet Jr. jewelry is a Traditional style, it looks & feels amazing while being worn. The bracelet itself measures approximately 2 1/2" x 2 1/2". The Turquoise pieces when measured at their longest points, are approximately 1" each. The bracelet does have the give to expand or contract to adjust for fit. The sterling silver is unmarked, but has been verified. This is a rare piece to find both the hallmark RS as shown on the wrist in photograph #8, & an actual signature as shown in photograph #9, considering that in addition to the spectacular Morenci Turquoise, this is a highly desirable piece to add to your collection!
