This sterling ring is "hecho in Mexico", made in Mexico as the stamp inside attests. At first glace it appears as if the ring has a simple repeating design around the entire band, but upon closer inspection there are variations that can only be achieved in handcrafted work. The ring has three indented cross shaped designs with circles at each corner placed around the band. There is also an indented "T" form. There is a section that has three open circles bordered by two lines with a lozenge shaped piece of silver slightly covering two of the circles. At another place on the band are a set of three open circles set side by side but separated by V-shaped bars. So this simple band is actually packed with a variety of designs!
The ring tests as silver although it is not marked. It is 12 mm (1/2 inch) wide and weighs 7.3 grams. The ring is a size 7 1/4 and is in excellent condition.
