The stylish Art Deco 14 karat gold ring is so architectural in feel, but also resembles a stylized buckle motif, popular since the 18th century. The star of the ring is the Old Mine diamond that measures about 3.8 mm ( approximately 0.20 carats). Old Mine diamonds are about the outline shape of our modern cushion cut, but they were cut by hand without the help of our modern day equipment. This prong set diamond really sparkles in the recessed white gold square surround. The shoulders of the ring has a gentle s- curved slope with and incised dot and line. This portion is slightly raised from the rest of the convex shaped shoulders which creates many highlights and shadows in the 14 karat yellow gold. The rest of the band is simple and quite comfortable.
The ring is marked "14K" and both the white and yellow gold tested as such.
The white gold square face is 8 mm and the ring sits 5 mm above the finger. The ring weighs 3.1 grams and is a size 8 1/2. It is in great condition.
