This vintage diamond ring dates from the 1940s-1950s. It is a simple and traditional ring with a 3.8 mm round brilliant diamond prong set within a concave circle in a square frame of 14 karat white gold. This type of setting will protect your precious stone and the white gold enhances the sparkle of the diamond with it's reflective qualities. The band is in 14 karat yellow gold, for a beautiful contrast.
The ring is from Mills Jewelers jewelry store in Lockport, NY. The establishment is in it's 86th year of operation and still going strong. The band is marked Prism-Lite, which was the trade name that identified diamonds from this jeweler in the 1940s -1950s. It is also marked "14K" and tested as 14 karat gold.
The ring weighs 3.5 grams and is a size 8 1/2. It is in wonderful condition.
