This vintage octagonal Siam silver niello pendant has the image of an individual who sits in a traditional kneeling position with the hands together in the "Namaste" mudra. I am not certain who the specific figure is in Buddhist culture, but it may be Thepanom. In Thailand this figure is considered to be a thoughtful gift, one showing respect and friendship.
The pendant, which measures 22mm x 15 mm ( 3/4 inch x 5/8 inch), is marked "Siam Sterling" on the back and tested as sterling silver. The 15 inch chain is also marked "Sterling" and is silver.
The necklace weighs 3.5 grams and is in great condition.
