This vintage ring has a long rectangular beveled edge orange carnelian intaglio of a family crest. The centered crest has two stars, diagonally placed in relationship to one another separated by a raised band. The seal is divided in half by a thin line and the entire shape is filled with vertical lines.
The carnelian stone, which measures 20 mm x 13 mm, is bezel set in a wide brilliant 10 karat yellow gold setting that has five elongated slightly raised lobed sections that tapper into a smooth 5 mm wide band. Each lobe is separated at the top of the shoulder to allow light to enter and illuminate the carnelian.
The ring is marked "9" and "375" for 9 karat gold, has the Leopard's Head to denote it was made in London and the letter "g" to date the ring to 1962. It also has a maker's mark stamp. It tested as 10 karat gold.
The ring weighs 6 grams and is a size 11. It is in great condition.
