This sweet ring was produced in the 1930s when there was a renewed interest in Victorian jewelry. So while it has a 19th century feel it also has the angular and elongated shape that was so popular during the Art Deco period. The salmon colored oval coral cameo of a classical woman in profile facing right and sporting a Roman toga is bezel set. The octagonal 10 karat yellow gold frame surrounding the carved figure has a decorative surface.
The cameo is approximately 16 mm x 10 mm (3/4 inch x 3/8 inch) and the entire face of the ring measures 22 mm x 13 mm (13/16 inch x 1/2 inch). The setting rises about 6 mm from the finger. It weighs 2.3 grams and is a size 3 1/2.
The ring is marked "10K" and tested as 10 karat gold.
The ring is in great condition. The coral has a small discolored circle at the bottom in the toga.
