I love this unusual ring, even if it's adjustable! It is just so full of detail! At the center of this sterling silver ring is an oval intaglio of a warrior in profile with his helmet on, ready for battle. His sword is shown below his image cutting across his neck. Surrounding the plaque is an ornate frame set off by twisted wire. The frame has a flower design placed at the north, south, east and west corners. The top and bottom flower have a c-curve placed above them and are flanked by a pea pod design. There is also a gently curving leaf that leads to the next flower. To join the decorative frame to the shoulder there is a curved milgrain scroll topped by two small balls. The shoulders of the ring are decorated as well.
The ring is marked "sterling-orlando" and tested as sterling silver. It weighs 4.6 grams. The entire face of the ring is 25 mm x 23 mm and the top of the ring sits about 10 mm off the finger. It is adjustable so it can be worn by anyone!
It is in excellent condition.
