This amazing enamel and diamond ring is a stunner!! The double headed stylized serpent is in a deep cobalt blue enamel. Through the transparent enamel you can see hand carved grooves that imitate the skin of a snake. On the head of each snake there are three round single-cut, prong-set bright and sparkling diamonds enclosed in a teardrop shaped sterling silver surround. At the tip of the snake heads there are five round single-cut, prong-set diamonds set within and sterling silver arch. The diamonds absolutely glow!
The band is a brilliant 18 karat yellow gold. The ring is marked "750" and also has another stamp that I cannot make out. It tested as 18 karat gold.
The sixteen diamonds are each about 1.3 mm (0.16 c.t.w.) The face of the ring is 16 mm north to south. It weighs 8.2 grams and is a size 8 1/4.
It is in beautiful condition with no damage to the enamel or stones. This ring should not be sized as it will damage the enamel.
