This sentimental Victorian jewel has a picture of an adorable small child with curly locks and rosy cheeks. The child may be in a christening dress and wears a yellow gold necklace that matches the 10 karat yellow gold of the pendant. Of course the image could be replaced by a photo of your own choosing.
Surrounding the image are sections of six small turquoise stones alternating with six small natural pearls, three sections each. The pendant is suspended from an ornate bail with two sections covered with small pearls.
The back of the pendant has a lock of hair behind glass. There is a crack in the glass, but it is still securely in the frame. It is stamped "9ct" and tested as 10 karat with acid.
The pendant hangs 4.9 cm (1 7/8 inches) with the fancy bail. The locket/pendant is 3 cm (1 1/8 inch) in diameter. It weighs 5.0 grams.
It is in good condition for its age with only some wear to the nacre of the pearls and a few cracked turquoise stones.
