This Art Nouveau locket has the familiar floral motif of lilies, a favorite of the era. Each of the four flowers is accented with a round paste stone and there are four paste stones descending on the left side of the face. The floral decoration is placed within a slightly concave matte gold surface within a shinning gold surround. The back of the locket has the initials "C.B.S." in very fancy script with extra incised lines around the letters to give the monogram something extra special!
Inside the locket is stamped "W&SB" on the frame. The initials stand for W & S Blackinton Co. Unfortunately the frame from the left side is missing and all that remains is the plastic cover.
The locket is 3 cm (1 3/8 inches) in diameter and weighs 10.1 grams. It tests as 14 karat on the front and back. All of the paste stones are between 1.5 mm - 2 mm.
It is in very good vintage condition. There is a small amount of loss to some of the raised details as shown in the photos. There are two stones with chips that can only be seen with a 10X loupe.
