This antique Victorian wreath shaped pin has enamel in a lovely vibrant blue covering its undulating surface. There are six natural half pearls placed along the wreath and a seventh natural half pearl is on the swag at the bottom. The enamel is on an 18 karat yellow gold surface and the gold flourish at the end of the swag is of the same high karat, brilliant gold. The inner and outer gold edge of the wreath has small dimples to catch the light and increase the overall glowing effect of the piece.
The pin is not marked, but tested as 18 karat gold. It measures 3 cm x 3.5 cm and weighs 10.1 grams.
At the lower left corner (as seen in the photo) there is a small space, 2 mm, where the gold edge has been flattened interrupting the outer dimpled surface. The enamel is in wonderful shape and the pearls have a beautiful luster.
