When I saw this at an estate sale, I looked at the bottom, expecting to see that it is a modern-day imported piece. To my surprise, the original paper merchant's label on the bottom indicates that this contemporary-looking cache pot or jardinière is actually from the early part of the 20th Century, most likely from the 1920-1930 period.
The cache pot is cobalt blue with sponged gold. It is about 4 inches tall and 4.75 inches across.
There's some dark staining in the inside bottom and on the outside at the base and a small manufacturing chip on the foot ring.
